At the initial consultation you will be asked about your health, medical history, lifestyle and diet to gain a whole picture of your wellbeing. Your pulse will be taken, your tongue looked at and possibly your blood pressure measured. This enables a customised treatment plan to be created with your agreement. After this consultation, you will receive a short treatment at the end of the session. Follow-up sessions will include a discussion about your progress, any new developments, and treatment.
For facial revitalisation and lifting treatments a course of between 10 to 12 sessions is recommended, starting usually with twice weekly sessions followed by weekly sessions. Each individual will respond differently to the treatment depending on their age and lifestyle. Visible results can be noticeable after the 6th or 7th session, sometimes earlier and last for about two years. In some exceptionally difficult cases, the course of treatment may need to be repeated again. Maintenance may be needed once every month. The benefits of monthly maintenance sessions are not limited to the face, but rather improve the body’s overall health and vitality. This, in itself, slows down the ageing process.
After treatment exposure to the sun should be avoided and no make-up worn for 4 hours (note that all make-up must be removed prior to any treatment). In some people, slight bruising may occur, especially around the eye or neck area; these will disappear in 3 to 7 days. Some facial redness may be visible or soreness felt for a day or so. People who have a problem with bleeding or bruising should avoid facial acupuncture. For convenience a home service is offered.

I base my practice on integrity. This means I provide excellent quality, so if you are not happy for any reason after receiving a treatment, then you do not pay. If you have pre-booked and paid for a programme of treatments, then you will be refunded the full amount after the first session. However, if you finish part-way through your programme, you will only be refunded for future treatments paid in advance for but not yet taken.
